Virtual Machines Virtualization
Question: Discuss about the Virtual Machinesfor Virtualization. Answer: Introduction Virtualization is a very important part of the computer technology that has evolved in recent years. It has evolved into the most efficient form of storage of data. This report consists of the description of different features of the virtualization. The report contains information about the role and importance of the virtualization and also information about the virtual appliances and the vApp. The Role of Virtualization in Data Center are: Firstly, it provides disaster recovery in the data centers (Khajehei, 2014). The data that are lost due to some system failure or even due to some external effects can be recovered very easily via virtualization. The data that is back up on the cloud is available throughout the cloud and can be back up at any time. Secondly, the virtualization technique provides hardware independence to the data centers. Usually earlier huge storage spaces were required in the machines to store large amounts of data. But, with virtualization a large amount of data can be stored in the clouds virtually. This would decrease the amount of hardware that would be required for storing the data. Sometimes even no hardware would be required. Since, all the data can be stored in the virtual memories. The Importance of Virtualization are: Firstly, the virtualization process is very easy to implement (Thakral Kadam, 2014). It just requires the user to register on the cloud and hire a storage space for themselves in which they can store all their data very easily. In addition to this the user does not require to upgrade any of the system or soft wares. Hence the up gradation is also very for the user. Secondly, the virtualization method is very cost effective. The cost of a hard ware device is very high in todays world. And the price increase with the need requirement of more space by the user. But, it is very cheap for the user to purchase a virtual space on the cloud. Hence, this provides the cost effectiveness for the user. Thirdly, the system is very fast. The virtualization allows the users to upload and download the data very easily. In addition to this upload and the download processes are very fast depending upon the speed of the network. The safety of the data of the user is also provided very efficiently for the user. The Technology is used by IBM. The IBM cloud data virtualization is the organization that has implemented this technology successfully (Zheng,Wang Wang, 2014). The IBM data centers are online. So, the data import and export of the company takes place online. The company also provides this facility to the users and other companies. The company also provides their visualization tool for purposes other than storage facilities. They also provide storage facilities to the private user free of cost up to a certain level. The Key Attributes of a Virtual Machine are: Simple to install and configure: The installation and the configuration procedures of the virtual machine are very simple (Peng et al., 2015). The installation tools for the virtual machine are easily available on the internet. In addition to this the configuration processes are also available very easily on the internet. For the configuration process the machines are to integrated with the APIS that are easily available in the VMware vSphere and the vCenter Server. In addition to the configuration procedure the backup and the restore process are also very easy to implement. VMware certified: The Virtual Machines are certified by the VMware certification. Hence, the systems are very reliable and authentic. The VMware vSphere contains the data protection APIs that are very efficient. In addition to this the APIs are updated automatically s soon as they are released. Application Aware: The Virtual Machines are very aware of the application that they are required to run. They automatically develop the require applications and also update them when require, the backup processes are not hampered. Scalable and efficient: The Virtual Machine are very efficient in providing backup. The backup software have to evolve so the IT efficiency is increased. IN addition to this the system are easily scalable. It provides the users the option of scalability. So, that they can increase or decrease their requirements very easily. Affordable: The Virtual Machines are very affordable. The cost of the Virtual Machine are very less in comparison to the various types of hardware components. So, they can be considered as very cheap and affordable of the users and also the organizations. The Virtual machine can also be used as a Server. Many of the Organizations that provide the virtual machines as a service provide the server option of the Virtual machines (Gao et al., 2013). The main that is to be considered while adopting the virtual machine as the server is the nature of the system. It is to be identified weather the system is a fully virtual system or it is partially virtual or the operating system of the system is virtual. In the fully virtual system the VM as a server is to be used. In the partially virtual system the proportion of the virtual system and the hardware components are to be considered. And in the Software virtualization the virtual server should not be used. This is because of the system is composed of the hardware components. Virtual Appliance: The virtual appliances are the virtual machine that are already configured, and can readily run on the hypervisors (Kecskemeti et al., 2014). It is basically derives from the software appliances. Basically, if a virtual software appliance is installed in the on the virtual machine it could be termed as the virtual appliance. The virtual appliance is the imaging instance of the software appliance that is installed into the virtual machine. vApp: The vApp is the container and it can contain one or more than one virtual machines in them (Bigelow, 2014). They are like the resource pool. They also share functionalities of the virtual machines. The main features of the vApp are that they can easily be power on and offed and can also be cloned very easily. The main Difference Between the Virtual Appliance and the vApp are: The vApps can be run on only the hypervisor environment, while the virtual appliance can run on all the environments such as hypervisor as well as the hosted environments. The Virtual Appliance are Required During the Dual Boot of a machine. On several occasions the machines are slowed down if dual boot is performed on the machine (Chih-Liang et al., 2015). Hence, the virtual appliance can be used for dual booting the system. It would provide a virtual instance of a system on the machine. This would result in increased efficiency of the system. The virtual appliances [provide the user the opportunity to use multiple instances of different systems without having to boot the systems into their machines. This would allow the user to switching between different operating system without reducing the efficiency of the system. In addition to this, the users that require a particular software for only a limited period of time can use the virtual appliances do that they would not require to install the software into their machine. This would be saving the space on their machine and would also save the cost of buying the application. The Three main Virtual Appliances Provider are: IBM, Flexera Software and Fortinet. The IBM Partner World provides the virtual appliance of various sectors (Kandan et al., 2014). They provide the services in the fields of storage as well as the different other services. They are one of the main providers of the virtual appliances as a service. The Flexera Software provides the virtual appliances that can help in the business sectors. They perform the software licensing facilities and the entitlement management solutions. The Fortinet provides the security oriented virtual appliances. They are basically, concerned with the development of the firewall services. They provide the security of the application with their virtual appliances. Conclusion For conclusion, it can be said that the features of virtualization has been described very aptly in this report. The role and importance of virtualization has been successfully demonstrated in this report. In addition to this the virtualization as a server can also be used. In addition to this, the virtual appliances and vApp and the difference in between them have also been described in the report. References Bigelow, S. J. (2014). Comparison of Love Poetry Essay Example
Comparison of Love Poetry Essay In the following essay I will be examining 3 poems of affection, of which I will inclusively talk about the themes of the love and also describe the views that have been used. The poems I am going to unravel to you are When We Two Parted by Lord Byron, A Woman To Her Lover by Christina Walsh and finally Villegiature by Edith Nesbit. Love can mean different things to different people. There are also different types of love such as un-conditional love between a parent and a child or un-required love which is when you love someone and the feelings are not reciprocated. Firstly a woman to her lover is a poem that is written by a female writer called Christina Walsh. This poem is about a woman that is expressing her feelings about her lover openly as you read on through the poem she reveals more about her life and what she demands from her husband. For example: in the first paragraph she talks about how women are slaves but she then goes on to say that she would reject her lover if thats the case. I know this as she says To make me a bondslave, then says, no servant will I be, if that be what you ask o lover I refuse you! Since the poem is written in the 1900s you straight away know that she is a strong and demanding women at the time as women were treated as slaves and did not have rights. Straight away people ask what is Villegiature? Well its a French word meaning holiday retreat or getaway. Edith Nesbit was the author of this poem and she was a person with strong political views, who had a sense of independency. She published her work with a fake name which is Edith Nesbit because she was married between 1858-1924, you can see straight away why she had a fake name and how she was treated by (husband) her man. I personally think that this poem is unique compared to ordinary love poems even though its a sonnet (4 stanzas 4 lines each mainly about love and feelings of love), the poem starts off with there being a lost mate. Your ghost last night climbed uninvited. As the poem goes on she expresses her feelings by talking of romance but in the last stanza she realizes why she had left him and how boring he was. So basically this love poem is about a break up of two people in the style of romantic poetry. Typical romance alliteration is used like solid self used to emphasis the love and emotion used. Third of all I would like to express the feelings of Lord Byron who was a player at his time but when he was outplayed he couldnt take it and wrote this poem. Its like the saying the player got played. Lord Byron was a famous poet to start with and he was the type of person who did drugs and sleep with various women. When he wrote when we two parted he expresses his feelings about an affair with this woman that was married and cannot express his emotions openly as he committed an illegal sin. I know he was in mental pain as he articulated In Silent we met in silence I grieve. This also points out how unsecure and secret the relationship really was. He also emphasizes his feelings using a few rhetorical questions such as Why wert thou so dear? Rhetorical questions are often used for confusion or to show the feelings of the writer, but Lord Byron not only use it for theses purposes but to show us his emotions. This is also a type of emotive language used. My opinion is that the tone u sed in the poem could be described as regretful because when she broke up with him he found out how it really felt and realized he had scarred many womens lives. The imagery used in the poem is physical imagery as Pale grew thy cheek and cold. Is death imagery and death is physical. There are some similarities though, between the three poems, the fact that in Villegiature and when we two parted is about a break up and a women to her lover is threatening to break up if she is treated wrongly (this could also be a difference). One of the major similarities is that all of the three writers talk in the first person expressing their emotions using such emotive language as pear tree bloom (from Villegiature) to slowly tell you whats inside the envelope. A woman to her starts directly into the speech do you come to bend me to your will, Villegiature comes from the beginning to say my window, when we two parted is getting to the point when we two parted in silence and tears, all of these poems start sharp and to the point using first person. A similarity between When we two parted and Villegiature could be that they both rhyme in between every two sentences. One of the rhymes used is lighted uninvited in Villegiature and tears years in when we two parted. I think the rh yming done in these two poems are to catch people attention when reading the two poems. These two poems also have the same amount of lines in each stanza. I think even though all of these poems are love poems they are quite different as they all talk about different types of love and have different stories but not just that also the layouts are completely different. For example: even if all of these three poems are love poetry they all have different meanings: a women to her lover is a poem about a woman demanding her rights even though shes way beyond her years whereas Villegiature is a poem where even the title has a meaning and also the fact that its a sonnet although when we two parted is a man in grief as a women he was having an affair with a woman who left her and the process is all in secrecy. One of the biggest differences was the authors who had different life stories like Lord Byron who was first of all a male but not just that as he was a player in his time who was played finally. Christina Walsh was a women well beyond her years as she talked to men like she was the boss, this took place in the 1900s where at the time women were treated as objects but she wouldnt stand for it. Edith Nesbit was the complete opposite as she was scared which I know as she used the false name Edith Nesbit to write such eloquent and deep meaning poems. I think the poem that is most different from the others is A woman to her lover as it is not a break up but a control freak who wants to do as she likes even though the whole country forbids it which shows that she is mentally strong. The other two poems are break ups and the tone is different to this. But even they have a singular difference e.g. when we two parted is written in an older time and written in older fashion than other two poems. Villegiature is a short sonnet that gets to the point towards the end instead of begging which makes it quite unique. Finally I think that these three poems are not quite as eye catching as I would of liked but quite boring as they are quite long but the only poem that was short got to the point right at the end and was an odd sonnet as most sonnets are about romance. If I had to choose one of these poems to work on or write about in the future I would choose Villegiature as it is the easiest to write about and it is relatively short compared to the other poems, Overall reviewing the love poems was a good experience for me as I have learnt a lot but still need to read a variety of interesting romantic poems to actually get involved.

Axis of Evil essays
Axis of Evil essays George W. Bushs term Axis of Evil which he uses to describe a trio of countries, including Iraq, Iran, and North Korea is inappropriate regarding North Korea. In North Koreas case this term only promises to escalate tension between the United States and North Korea. This term has locked the United States - North Korean foreign policy at an enemy stance. It encourages a weapons race with North Korea as it heightens North Koreas fear of being attacked by the United States. Referring to North Korea as an evil terrorist, and aligning their country with the other countries that are the focus of the United States antiterrorism campaign, causes tension and debate throughout the two nations and the rest of the world that can be prevented. Placing the term evil on a country has many grave side consequences. In his 2002 State of the Union address George W. Bush stated, North Korea is a regime arming with missiles of mass destruction, while starving its citizens.... States like these, and their terrorist allies, constitute an axis of evil, arming to threaten the peace of the world. Calling North Korea evil has made our attempt to pursue peaceful diplomatic solutions to dangerous threats nearly impossible. As Joseph Montville, a retired foreign service officer, said in an interview on National Public Radios All Things Considered, The trouble with evil is that you can not make a deal with it; you have to kill it. Once you have put a state of people in the category of evil, you appear to be setting them up for some serious punishment. North Korea has always posed a security threat to the United States. North Korea refuses to disarm because nuclear weapons are the only power they have, due to their lack of natural resources and exports. Now, with the United States posing as a serious threat to North Korea their fear and security concerns have only wors ...

Why is social integration such a problem for immigrants in France Essay
Why is social integration such a problem for immigrants in France - Essay Example (Essess, Dovidio, Dion. 375). European countries faced a large number of migrations after world war-II. The integration of the immigrants is the new challenge for the established states. The countries faced the challenges and struggled with the problem of inclusion of the immigrants in to their social structure. There has been enormous increase in movement of international population with world migration. This is characterized by not only by increased levels of permanent settlement and labor in foreign countries but also temporary migration with varying purpose. The integration of the immigrants, the inclusion of population in the existing social structure of the immigration country is one of the concerns of the state policies and structure. There are four major dimensions, which differentiated the process of integration. The first one is the structure integration, which is the acquisition of rights and access to membership and position to the society. The education system, labor market, housing and citizenship are major factor affects structural integration. The second dimension is cultural integration, which is a precondition of participation and refers to process of cognitive, cultural, behavioral and attitudinal change of persons. The third one is Social integration. The social integration is reflected in the relationship with society and group members. The social intercourse, friendship, marriage and involvement in voluntary association are the part of social integration. Social identification is the fourth dimension. The nationality, ethnics and other forms of multiple and social identification reflect in the membership to a new society. Like other countries in Europe France is also face the increasing of immigration. The European integration and opening up of the internal border of countries within Europe cause the increase in migration in France. The major risk affected by the opening up of borders is immigration, drug trafficking and international crime. The France has had a long history of receiving and encouraging the immigrants. The different goal of immigration is forced by labor needs and population replacement. Between 1850 and 1913 the number of immigrants entering France increase from 3,80,000 to 1.6 million. In this period immigration is encouraged by industrialization in France. Following World War-I the shortage of labor due to military causalities expanding industries welcomes the immigrants to France. During 1921 to 1931 the immigrants' population is increased to 2.7 million, from the major parts of China, Vietnam and different parts of Asia and Africa. The end of World War-II the Government introduce d the centrally controlled policy favoring migration. The Office of National del' Immigration (ONI) was established in 1945 and its regulated residence and employment of foreigners in the country. (James, Rita. 147). In 1974 the government tightened the policy on immigrants and stopped labor immigrants and temporary workers and given preference to the relatives of migrants. In 1984 the French Government rejected one third of migration request from different part of the world. From 1990 onwards the Government rejected 71 to 84 percent of asylum seekers to France. (Heckmann, Schnapper. 16) Issues for Immigrants The France is a country with long history of immigration and there is tradition called 'assimilation

Internationalisation Of Business And Global Marketing Issues Marketing Essay
Internationalisation Of Business And Global Marketing Issues Marketing Essay International networks of customers, technology, researchers, suppliers and distributors have emerged over the years. Internationalization is traditionally viewed as a process through which a firm moves from operating solely in its domestic marketplace to international markets. Recently, we have noticed the obvious evidence of internationalization. This report looks at the Uppsala research which suggests that firms internationalize gradually as their perceived risk of foreign market decreases. The Internationalization is presumed to be more steady and gradual. This theory believes that firms enter markets that are psychically close to home market first and then gradually expand into other markets that have a higher psychic distance from the home market. The world trade and foreign direct investments are continuously growing making all the countries to have become more close knit and interdependent. In many context European companies have to be dependent on the US laws. Thus this theo ry doesnt fit in the new rage of activities in which the psychic distances are already decreased; the knowledge and the local and international data are easily available from agencies or firms. This development has helped the new businesses to enter directly into large markets. This report further reviews the European and US markets to understand the macro environmental activities of various companies which are interdependent. As internationalization progresses we understand multinationals have a more extensive global production base and longer experience at managing that base than the other firms, thus potentially creating a source of competitive advantage. 1.0 Aims and Objective The aim of this paper is to analyze and discuss the internationalization of business and global marketing issues. The report further aims to critically analyze the global marketing environment and its influence on the marketing activities of the firm. 1.1 METHODOLOGY This report has entirely relied on secondary data collected through various resources such as books, journals, news, and internet websites. 2.0 INTRODUCTION Multinational marketing, global marketing, or international marketing are only the terms mostly used to describe the international marketing activities. But there are vast differences between global marketing and international marketing. Over the past decades there has been global emergence of the economies. An increasing number of firms face immense pressures to compete on a global basis. Many firms attempt to expand their sales into foreign markets and international expansion provides new and potentially more profitable markets. In order to perform on the international scale successfully a company needs to know how to manage, integrate and create new marketing strategies which will enhance the opportunities for economies of scale and competitiveness. Thus this report is an effort to discuses in detail the process of internationalization and the theoretical approach of the Uppsala model giving the exact picture of international marketing. This report further analyses the macro facto rs of internationalization by considering the European and US companies which are interdependent and contribute towards the global economy. 3.0 INTERNATIONALIZATION The dynamic view of internationalization has been investigated since the 1970s by many scholars. The exact definition of internationalization is very difficult to obtain as it is a continuous process of activities. This section will discuss various learnings by some of the scholars. According to Johanson and Vahlne (1977) internationalization is a process where a company gradually increases its international involvement. Luostarinen (1979) further views internationalization where he states that a company becomes international by establishing its first contact abroad. Thus they identified a sequential process of international development. Another quite similar definition is the one by Welch and Luostarinen (1988), They see internationalization is a process that leads to the increasing involvement in international operations across borders. Some others are mentioned accordingly, Internationalization is defined as the process of adapting firms operations (strategy, structure, resource, etc.) to international environments. (Jonathan L. Calof and Paul W. Beamish 1995) Internationalization theory has been developed with the concentration on the process by which companies develop their international operations. Internationalization focus is to understand and to explain the reasons leading companies to internationalization and how this is carried out. (Welch Welch, 1996) One of the interesting definition is by Moberg(1990) He also states that internationalization can be seen as a process or a chain of development, and a company under internationalization goes through a learning process. This process will gradually increase a companys market and establishment knowledge. This report would like to futher clarify the Moberg(1990) definition for the further understandings. The factors driving a company towards international markets can be a single event or the result of the combination of internal and external forces. Internationalization generally occurs when the firm expands its RD, production selling and other business activities into international markets. Internationalization may occur in a relatively continuous fashion, where the firm undertakes incremental steps over the period of time (freeman, 2002). When practicing the process of internationalization a company goes beyond exporting and becomes much more directly involved in the local marketing environment of a given market. (Global marketing strategies. jeannet/Hennessey, sixth edition) Different levels of uncertainty and unfamiliar problems are encountered in these markets, such as legal restraints, government controls, weather, fickle consumers, and the other uncontrollable elements. of the. It is very important to understand these uncertainties and also have the knowledge of the different social, cultural, economical and political aspects of the market.. The internationalization process is describe as when the company amends their marketing strategy with the understanding of all the above factors including how they sell, advertise and distribute to fit new market demands and becomes more experienced in operating in various foreign markets. The marketing principles and concepts are universally applicable then why International marketing is considered complex and diverse. International marketing is defined as the performance of business activities designed to plan, price, promote, and direct the flow of a companys goods and services to consumers or users in more than one nation for a profit. This means that the international marketing activities take place in more than one country. The apparent, in more than one country, accounts for the complexity and diversity found in international marketing operations. The environment within which the marketer must implement marketing plans can change dramatically from country to country or region to region. The difficulties create by different environments are the international marketers primary concern. 3.1 UPPSALA MODEL Internationalization has different theoretical approaches but this report will focus on the Uppsala school approach. The Uppsala internationalization model was introduced by two Swedish professors, Johanson and Wiedersheim-Paul, from the University of Uppsala in 1975. This theory was derived from the study of Internationalization of four Swedish companies. It explains how companies gradually strengthen their activities in foreign markets and how their learning affects their investment behavior. (Johanson and Vahlne 1977, 1990). According to this theory internationalization evolves stepwise at a relatively slow pace because of the market regulations and organizational learnings. This model is based on the four core concepts which are Market knowledge, market commitment, commitment decisions and current activities. On the basis of these four concepts, the model predicts the basic pattern of firms internationalizing. The Uppsala model is supported by many studies which have shown both small and large enterprises passing through distinct and gradual stages during the development of their international affairs (Johanson and Vahlne, 1990; Oviatt and Phillips-McDougall, 1994). These different stages and their characters give companies different experiences and knowledge about an international market. (Johanson Wiedersheim-Paul, 1975). At every stage a company sustains previous knowledge and acquires new. According to Johanson et al (2002), it is the aggregated knowledge that is the base for further movement into a newer and more mature stage in the model. In the first stage organizations acquire experience from the domestic markets then they aspire to move for the foreign markets. In the specific country investments are then carried out sequentially, concurrently and cautiously. Firms start their functioning from geographically and culturally closer countries with the learning of the firms people operating in that market and move gradually to more distant countries. In the third stage companies start their foreign operations by the traditional exports. This model proposes that the sales begin with sporadic export orders, which are then followed by conventional export orders. This transformation helps the firms to focus and progressively move ahead on more concentrated and challenging operational modes such as sales subsidiaries. And then in the final stage, the firm acquires increasing levels of empirical knowledge only if they obligate to the higher levels of resources in the market. As this model is almost 30years old there is a need to criticize and acclaim. Over the years the world has become more homogeneous that consequents in decreasing the psychic distances. As an effect of continuous growth in world trade and foreign direct investments the number of people with experience of doing business abroad has increased. Over the last 20years the international consulting firms and agencies have experienced tremendous growth making it possible to buy knowledge. One can easily get the local and international data such as market potential, local buying standards, possible entry modes, competitors, market potential, distribution system etc. from these agencies or firms. This development has helped the new businesses to enter directly into large markets. 3.2 Advantages of Uppsala. The new entrants in certain industries have recently become more spectacular. The pace of the internationalization process seems to have speeded up as Firms seemed prone to leapfrog stages in terms of psychic distance at an early stage. This model has gained strong support in studies of a wide spectrum in countries and situations. The research confirms the important factors about the export behavior and the relevance of cultural distance. 3.3 Disadvantages of Uppsala. The model is to deterministic (Reid, 1983; Turnbull,1987) The model does not take into account interdependencies between different country markets(Johnason and Mattson, 1986) Studies have shown that the internationalization process model is not valid for the service industries. The model is not valid in situations of highly internationalized firms and industries. 4.0 GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS (PESTLE) Investment and job creation by European companies in the United States are very substantial, having created thousands of jobs in the USA. Companies operating internationally with the sale subsidiary are referred to as multinational corporations (MNCs). Companies like Nestle, McDonalds, Volkswagen, ABB, Zurich Insurance, Allianz, Electrolux, Daimler, BMW, Novartis, General Motors, Sony, and General Electric, Siemens etc are some examples.Ã We will consider some companies to understand their political, economical, social, technological, legal factors. 4.1 POLITICAL FACTORS Political decisions can impact on many vital areas of business. Different markets focus on different areas of concern like health, worker protection, and environment. These elements are seen in the government control of the licensing of the restaurants in the respective states. There are certain groups in Europe and the United States that cacophony state actions pertaining to the health implications of eating fast food. They have indicated that harmful elements like cholesterol and adverse effects like obesity are attributable to consuming fast food products. The international operations of McDonalds are highly influenced by the individual state policies and regulations enforced by each government. There are impending legal dispute in the McDonalds franchise in India where certain infringement of rights and violation of religious laws pertaining to the contents of the food. There are also other studies those points to the infringement of McDonalds Stores with reference to the existing employment laws in the target market. Like any business venture, these McDonalds stores have to contend with the issues of employment procedures as well as their tax obligations so as to succeed in the foreign market. Ã Ã Ã Ã ECONOMICAL FACTORS Financial markets worldwide have been significantly disrupted in the wake of the global financial crisis. A number of financial investors have been facing difficulties providing capital to the markets due to their deteriorating financial conditions. These economical factors have a major impact on a firms behavior. If Toyota is unable to raise the necessary capital under appropriate conditions on a timely basis, its financial condition and results of operations may be adversely affected. Economical risks faced by Toyota are subject to currency and exchange rate fluctuations. Toyota is sensitive to these fluctuations and is principally exposed to fluctuation value of Japanese yen, the U.S. dollar, and the euro. Its consolidated financial statements are presented in Japanese yen. Changes in foreign currency exchange rates may affect Toyotas pricing of products sold and materials purchased in foreign currencies. On this occasion the company has introduced other cola drinks such as Diet Coke, Caffeine-Free Coca-Cola, Diet Coke Caffeine-Free, Coca-Cola Cherry, Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola Vanilla, and special editions with lemon, lime or coffee. In response to consumer insistence on a more natural product, the company has stated that it plans to remove E211 or sodium benzoate, the controversial additive used in its products, including Sprite and Oasis as soon as a satisfactory alternative is found. During the 1990s, Nike faced criticism for use of child labor in Cambodia and Pakistan in factories it contracted to manufacture soccer balls. Although Nike took action to curb or at least reduce the practice of child labor, they continue to contract their production to companies that operate in areas where inadequate regulation and monitoring make it hard to ensure that child labor is not being used. CONCLUSION Internationalization has viewed by many scholars and understood that is a process through which a firm moves from operating solely in its domestic marketplace to international markets. This report looks at the Uppsala research which suggests that firms internationalize gradually as their perceived risk of foreign market decreases. Internationalization is more steady and gradual. In the todays world where countries are interdependent on each others the knowledge and the local and international data are easily available from agencies or firms. This development has helped the new businesses to enter directly into large markets. The report has also undertaken considerations of the European and US markets to understand the macro environmental activities of various companies this gives a fair idea of how internationalization countries are .This analysis has helped to get a clear understanding about multinationals extensive global production base and longer experience at managing that base are the important factors contributing towards internationalization and globalization.

Refugee mother and her child by Chinua Achebe Essay
Explain what the poem is about and how the poet conveys the emotions he feels. The poem is about Achebeââ¬â¢s encounter with a mother and child in a refugee camp. This mother was different from the other mothers as she still cherished and loved her son. The other mothers had already stopped caring for their children as survival was not the most important thing and there wasnââ¬â¢t any hope of survival for their children anyway. In line 9: ââ¬Å"Most mothers there had long ceased to careâ⬠The poetââ¬â¢s tone was varied, in the first stanza he used long, soft vowels such as the vowel ââ¬Ëoââ¬â¢ and words such as ââ¬Ëtendernessââ¬â¢. In line 4, Achebe chose to used the word ââ¬Ëodourââ¬â¢ instead of the word ââ¬Ësmellââ¬â¢ or ââ¬Ëstenchââ¬â¢ because it sounded softer and more rounded. The softness continued until the beginning of line 5 where Achebe used hard-sounding words such as ââ¬Ëdiarrhoeaââ¬â¢ and ââ¬Ëblownââ¬â¢. The fact that the child will die is hinted repeatedly. From line 7 to line 14 of the second stanza, he seemed to be admiring the motherââ¬â¢s love for her child in even those circumstances. At the end, his tone was sad and regretful. In the last three lines: ââ¬Å"â⬠¦ like putting flowers on a tiny grave. â⬠There was alliteration in line 5 of the second stanza: ââ¬Å"behind blown empty belliesâ⬠The poet used the work ââ¬Å"ghostâ⬠as a metaphor in lines 8 and 9 of the second stanza. In ââ¬Å"ghost smileâ⬠, he meant the softening of the motherââ¬â¢s expression as she looked at her son. There was repetition of ââ¬Å"ghostâ⬠and in ââ¬Å"ghost of a motherââ¬â¢s prideâ⬠, it represented what the mother used to feel and here there was only the tiniest left of it. The last 2 lines were a smilie, heââ¬â¢s saying that her combing her sonââ¬â¢s hair is like a final goodbye because she would probably never get to do it again. In the first line, ââ¬Å"Madonna and Childâ⬠, this is the scene when Christ was taken from the cross and placed on Maryââ¬â¢s knees. Achebe is saying that even this scene could not have been more touching than of the refugee mother and her child. In line 3: ââ¬Å"for a son she soon would have to forget. â⬠Here he means that after the boy dies, the mother will have to concentrate on survival for herself, forcing her to forget her son. This will not be able to mourn her child. In line 4: ââ¬Å"The air was heavy with odoursâ⬠¦ â⬠The air was thick with the stench. The air was so dense that it seemed it had a weight and was more than just gas. In lines 7 and 8: ââ¬Å"Struggling in laboured stepsâ⬠¦ â⬠Even walking is difficult for them. Walking is hard work. Achebe doesnââ¬â¢t know the motherââ¬â¢s name, so he refers to her as ââ¬Å"sheâ⬠and ââ¬Å"herâ⬠. ââ¬Å"Rust-colouredâ⬠is the colour of a dark-haired personââ¬â¢s hair when he or she has an inadequate diet. The hair signals that the child is incredibly unhealthy and on the verge of dying. In line 11: ââ¬Å"â⬠¦ hair left on his skullâ⬠¦ â⬠The child is in such poor health that his hair has fallen out. Achebe used the work ââ¬Å"skullâ⬠because it showed how poorly the boy was and because it represented death. In line 12: ââ¬Å"- Singing in her eyes ââ¬â â⬠The hyphens surrounding this phrase outlined its significance. This was probably because the mother remembers singing to him, when they were happy. From line 15: ââ¬Å"act of no consequenceâ⬠¦ â⬠Combing her sonââ¬â¢s hair would usually be something a mother wouldnââ¬â¢t think twice about. They were probably quite well off before they were in this situation. The punctuation Achebe used were little. At the end of the first verse he put a period. This is because he was finalizing a statement. At the end of line 5 of the second stanza, thereââ¬â¢s another period. This is because heââ¬â¢d finished describing about the surroundings and was moving onto the mother. In line 7, there was a semi-colon, which indicates a pause. There is another one in line 16. In line 13 there are three periods together. This is usually used to signify that something will eventually continue. At the end of the poem he put another period. This is because he is ending the poem and also because he is once again finalizing something. Since the child is dying, death is final, so the period was suitable. In lines 13 to 16, Achebe introduced the possibility that the mother and child were probably quite well off before they were in this situation. However, their lives had changed and it was no longer that comfortable lifestyle. I thought the poem was sad. It showed how disasters could change the feelings and lives of normal people like you and me. It was an eye-opening poem, and it made me realise that if I werenââ¬â¢t living this lifestyle that boy may well have been anyone I know or me.
